Alex Ubatuba is a master glass artist that has been creating glass art since 2000. Alex has had his work featured in various art fairs and festivals, including Art Basel and Burning Man. He is currently working on a body of work titled “Living Light Sculptures”. This body of work features glass art working in tandem with LED lights, the end result being a quite mesmerizing experience. Alex Ubatuba continues to be one of the most boundary-breaking artists in the scene through his unique application of science and mixed media techniques.

Takehisa Okumura, aka Aquarius, is one of the most skilled borosilicate glass artists to come out of Japan. His incredible style often features a character of his own creation- the Chappys. Work by Aquarius is often cute but can sometimes be scary or creepy, and this balance of themes is where his creativity thrives. Aquarius continues to inspire collectors and other glassblowers alike with his ability to manifest creations that resonate with a universal audience like none other.

Chadd Lacy has been doing glass work since his early days enrolled at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, PA. Chadd defines his first years of creating as "explorative," allowing him to “make art for the sake of making art”. Chadd has described himself to be inspired by the "personification, playfulness, and whimsical elements of the ocean”. With a heavy focus on marine mammals in many of his signature designs, Chadd Lacy’s beautiful creations resonate with both the functional and non functional glass art scenes.

Chaka - Chaka the Iceman (born Cristian Gazmuri) has taken the industry by storm with one of the most inventive techniques to come to the glass scene, the lifelike recreation of ice and winter in its many forms. “My work with ice is a commentary on and tribute to the medium of glass as a whole. This community has a way of saving us from ourselves. A lot of what I do is meant to be collaborated on; Whether I sculpt the final piece or make the prep, I shine brightest when working with other artists.”

Elissa Newmeyer, Aka Elnewglass is an artist based out of Oklahoma. Her creations involve anything from pieces of jewelry to functional pipes. Her style is very abstract and mind-boggling at times. She brings a very fresh and whimsical approach to the scene, and draws much inspiration from the aesthetic of the 1980’s.

Groe is a Minneapolis based artist with ties to not only the glass art scene but the street art/graffiti scene as well. Groe has been involved heavily in both scenes in Minneapolis for over a decade. Groe’s work often involves the melding of his two mediums. You will often find Groe bringing the street art theme to his glass work. Groe is widely known for his ability to create beautiful and detailed images through the millefiori technique with a rebellious and gritty theme that stays authentic to his passions and interests.

Lacey Walton has been working on the torch since 2004. She is one of the most publicly awarded and recognized female borosilicate glass artists of her generation. Some of her most recognizable pieces involve cyborgs, scenes of nature, and goddesses conceived in an unbelievable array of different styles and colors. Laceface’s work often explores themes and social commentary on topics that inspire her.

Robert Mickelson has been working behind a torch since the mid 1970’s. A true master of the craft, Mickelson has had his art featured in many relegated collections such as Renwick Gallery of American Crafts at the Smithsonian Institution and the Corning Museum of Glass. On a global scale, Mickelson is second to none when it comes to intricate large scale Borosilicate Glass art projects, creating a near infinite range of beautiful works spanning a large array of themes.

Scott Moan, commonly known as Scomo Moanet, is a glass blower based out of Salem Oregon with over 20 years of experience. His aesthetic often uses watercolor themes incorporated with his signature “scribble” technique. His scribbles are painstakingly made between 7-13+ different layers. Work made with his prep, especially marbles, are sought out by glass collectors all around the world. Collaborations created with Scott’s prep work have an elevated intricacy and beauty that intrigues audiences even before the hidden UV features.

Swanny Swanswan is a borosilicate glass artist from Northern Illinois, very well known for his sculpted dogs. Swanny has been on the torch since 2010 and hasn’t stopped since. His different variations of his English and French bulldog designs are iconic and authentically capture the breeds’ personalities.
